FYI healthy chips at dollar tree!!!

Yay!!! Check these out!! I went to another dollar tree to see if they had the tear pads for the dove chocolate coupons (and they did) and I saw in the chip aisle these chips that said sweet potato that caught my eye!! Plus all the health info on them and then the other ones before I've had.. But for just $1 a bag I figured its worth a try plus I'm having a thank you party to my friends after they help me move so the more healthy things I find will be great incase there is left overs sitting around my apartment!!! Ill post later on this weekend on how they are!

BECAUSE... it retails 79cents at dollar tree and will not go cheaper!
....................so after getting 2/ $1.58  then applying the coupon it will be $1.08 for both candy bars!

and if you take the coupon with you.. and because it is a MANUFACTURER coupon and can be used ANYWHERE coupons are accepted.. if there is a sale where candy bars are say 2/ $1 or what have you you can use that coupon and get a even greater deal!!! GREAT! (lately noticed they have been 2/ $1 or 59cents at Riteaid or Walgreens, so that may be a good option!

When i know of a deal in the ads I will give you a heads up!!! (dove is a mars product fyi not hersheys)

mmmm mmm good! Peanut Butter Heaven!

Oh oh oh my! If you haven't tried this yet you are sadly missing out! I was at a dollar store today, (called "Real Deals Dollar Store" in New York where everything is $1 or less!), and found this amazing peanut butter! I saw coupons for it awhile back for either 75cents or $1 off one but never got it, and I so wish I would have!!! got both the Cinnamon raisin and the banana one today and tried the raisin one and mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm heaven! haha. so good. made my mouth have a party. anyway.. so if you are in your local grocery store, or even dollar store, need some protein in your diet, see coupons out there, wanna try something new, or just like peanut butter and dont mind spending the up to $4 retail for this... GO FOR IT!!!
I Personally would never pay more than the $1 for it, just got it because I was in the dollar store and saw it ha ha. yes, yes I am really that cheap :) Let me know if any one else likes these and if so what flavor!! <3N

I personally LOVE to have outfits that actually match, which is pretty great and surprising!! Yes, I am being smart due to the mere fact that most people my age in their 20's just go around in UGG's and over-sized sweatpants with their north face jacket that they have not taken off in days and think that that is considered style in college, and no my friends that is not.. that is considered laziness.. odor and just plain gross. come on get out there and get normal people clothes.. I am not saying go to H&M or Express and spend over $100 for a teeshirt (altho we all know you spend more than that just on the insole on one of those uggs girl!) haha. but, anyway! ummmm, where was I.. oh yes.. I am however saying.. go to American Eagle, Go to Aeropostale, go to Old Navy and go to J C Penny.. They have AWESOME deals on V-neck T-shirts, and they go for around 2/ $10 or so on sale (shop around now and then online or in stores... even download the app!) and add accessories! seriously! that is all you need! Great pair of jeans, skinny or regular (I like boyfriend cut and skinny personally) with a flat then  pair it with a vneck and a cute little sweater and necklace and makeup and sunglasses and purse and ready to go seriously doesn't take much money or effort to look cute!!! PLUS you can mix and match and no one has to know! one day this week I will do a comparison of buying a pair of uggs with a new north-face and sweats compared to what you can buy with all that money saved!
and really I should just say I do have north face jackets and uggs and such but I use them to use them not just to slouch around.. I actually wear them out and have had them for years to where there are holes in them and use my own money I have earned to do so.. little hostile of the chicks who use mommy and daddy money to get this stuff is the clear difference haha... butttt you shall seeeee.. OK SO THE POINT OF THIS ISN'T THIS BUT RATHER CELL PHONE CASES HAHAHAHA

Pretty cheap minute maid juice boxes and binkys!!

I looked at the rite aid ad quick and to my surprise saw that there was the -$3 off any playtex baby item so I headed to Riteaid to see what I could find ... Saw the cutest blue double pack of binkys at only $4.99 and with that coupon in ad brought it to just $1.99!!!
Then wanted some juice! Checked out the aisle an found little 60 cal boxes (4packs) at $1 and attached was a 50cent coupon on each pack!!! So the cashier used that so it was just 13 cents per box of juice!!! Wow! Great for me!

Take time to make a healthy lunch!!!

I hate taking too much time when I'm starving to make food more or less to make it healthy!!! So what do I do? At night I make double the food and put half of it away and have half the next day :) I cut up a bunch of lettuce and made double tuna and hard boiled four eggs ... Prepared it all ate half and put half away for today's lunch!! Greatest idea ever!!! Plus high in protein! Yay!

As a coupon-er and a smart person with money in general, I am one of those persons that creeps through the ads on Saturdays and Sundays for the best deals along with coupons to ad match for the most savings!

Couple Months ago I found some sites that really helped me even more! There are sites that preview drug store ads up to three weeks ahead of time so you can see the ads so you know what weeks have the deals the best and so you know when you should stock up based on the cheapest price! WHAT A GREAT TOOL!!!!

I check the websites weekly so that I know when to buy products.

So, I am quite a crafty person I must say and I was at the mall today and saw a hugeeeeeee section of dishcloth yarn at only $1. And change and then size six knitting needles around $3... I am going to make some and will post later on with the directions!!! <3 N

Money Saving Tip #1 continued: Dollar Tree (Part 2)

So as I previously mentioned I will now show proof of the items that you can get at Dollar Tree and have the savings be astronomical!

So In the above pictures, once can see the variety of stuff first off between the kitchen stuff like chopping mats, scissors, tissue paper and then reusable bags (which were all $1) ... then there are items I used coupons on and got them all amazingly cheap! The Hefty bags for example are $1 and then I used a $1.50/2 coupon from month ago or so and that being applied to every two I got would be 25cents each box... WOW! and they are the slide zip so its high quality! Then take the nesquick resealable chocolate powder mix at $1 each and -$1/2 coupon so making it $1 total per two... WOW.

 

I Think that It is completely worth it to check out Dollar Tree not only are there cool little gadgets but, it is a great savings too!

Money saving Tip #1: Shop at Dollar Tree! (Part 1)

Are you tired of shopping at Big High-end expensive Grocery stores just to walk out of the store with half a cart full of items that cost more than $200 that don't even make complete meals? Well listen up! SHOP AT DOLLAR STORES FOR ITEMS THAT DON'T MAKE A DIFFERENCE TASTE WISE OR LOOK WISE!

That is right, you heard me!

There is no reason to go to the grocery store and get Napkins at $3.50 for a 100 count, Plastic sandwich bags for $3 and condiments for over $4 a piece! When the brand does not make a difference! Think about it: When you take napkins for example out of the plastic it comes in to put it in the napkin holder do u the next day or next time you need a napkin reach for it and remember the brand? I for sure don't I just think jeez I need to clean up this spilled coffee quick before it stains my shirt. ha-ha. So why waste hard earned money on stuff that is hard to differentiate? Instead, make a list of the items that you use that you aren't loyal to, like cleaning supplies, plastic bags, containers, brooms, mops, napkins, baking supplies, seasonings, juices etc. and just head over to Dollar Tree like I do! EVERYTHING in the entire store is $1 or less ($1.08 with tax on most items)~ WHO CAN BEAT THAT?

Not only that, they do carry a vast variety of Kitchen gadgets, decor and so much more, PLUS THEY ACCEPT COUPONS!!!! SAYYYYYY WHAT! yes, they do!

I love to go there to get vases, gift bags and tape, they have 2count of scotch tape for just a buck! and cards too! I never would have though of The BEAUTIFUL gift bags they have it is truly amazing. I am now a weekly shopper there and recently got stuff for valentines there too for my apartment and my boyfriend. I got rose petals, a vase that has sayings on it and a card, why not get that kind of stuff there, there is no difference plus they have SO much merchandise and the store in my area is amazingly clean for a dollar store!

You don't even have to do what I said above and completely switch, but just even if your driving past one just take a stroll through the store and see just what I mean, see the amazing variety of products, cheap prices and the name brand stuff too! Even take a note pad with you like I did the first time and write down all the products that I may be interested in and went home and matched up coupons, and compared sizes to regular grocery stores to make sure it was cheaper over all!!!! 

Hope this helps some people because this truly helped me save more than $200 a month just watching what I am buying and paying attention!

Sunday Sunday Sunday

While many many people Sleep in on Sunday mornings until 11 am, I don't;  I head to the stores!

That is right, I wake up at 7am, get some clothes on brush my teeth grab a protein shake and head out to the stores and grab sale fliers at all the stores I am interested in, and grab 2-4 newspaper inserts that have coupons in them.

I then head home, and cut coupons that I definitely want, and throw away the rest & file the coupons in a coupon binder that I have. (I will have that in another post if anyone shows interest in that)

Then I turn my attention to the sale fliers.

I circle, with a sharpie, everything in all the ads that I am interested in getting... regardless if two ads or more have the same item circled... then I go thru my coupons and see what coupons will go along with the items that I will buy anyway, and write them in pen on the ad.. and then I type or write out a final list of the Item and new price I will be paying after coupons and sale prices... for example:

Kraft Salad dressing- on sale $2.00 <-$50cent coupon>= $1.50 final price

 -------------------------------------------------------------------

Now some people may thing this is a waste of time, but time is money to me... and If I am spending money on stuff I need anyway not spend as least amount of my hard earned cash as possible?? so, to me I am a business major and I would any day rather use a couple hours or more matching up ads, sales and coupons any day!!! Plus it is fun, its like a mind game and I want to search to find the cheapest price anywhere i can and will!!! I love to do this and I usually after matching it all up then make a list for where to go when, like if im at school Monday Wednesday and Friday til 5pm, I make it so that I am on that side of town anyway so to save a trip I will go to those stores on those days instead of driving every which way and wasting gas. 

There is so much more I can go on and on and on about to do with stores, couponing and deals but I will save that for many more separate posts to explain it in detail if anyone is interested just ask!!!:)

To wrap this up..this is the best way I can see to spend part of my Sunday and hope everyone else has just as great of a Sunday!!!!!!

LOOK AT THIS...

So it is 12:48 am on Sunday where I am right now back in N.Y where I grew up and just can't sleep with all the snow plows going by, and so I have been channel surfing for more than 2 hours and finally gave up searched on netflix for something different to watch and get hooked on! 

So, I know that everyone has their own favorite TV shows.. and I never had a favorite one for long, but lately have found the quakiest ones to be the ones that I am attracted to and keep going back to.. and to make this even better.. IT IS ON ALL THE TIME! and WHAT may you as is this thing I am talking about????

THERE ARE 250+ Episodes streaming on.... NETFLIX! amazing!

If you've never heard of netflix you should look into it! There are commercials on for it constantly! How does it work?

Just go to netflix.com, or if you have a Wii like I do (or any other gaming system that has netflix pre-programmed into it like xbox360 and PS3) and just sign up (email, name, age etc. and then credit/ debit/ pre-paid card info), and that is as easy as it is and it immediately streams, or you can have it the other way which is have 2-3 DVD's come at a time, thing is you have to wait 3-4 days for the next one on your queue. 

When I signed up, and right now too you can get a month for free!! Even when the month is up, its only $7.99 per month, and that is quite a savings!!! Watch anything that streams for just that set price, just dont expect too much new releases I noticed! but if you like to watch season episodes of a particular show or movies in a row like some people like Fast and Furious or lord of the rings and so on. So, depends on what you prefer or you can get both for $11.99! 

Some people, such as my friends, don't think this is a great thing and savings to get... but, I however don't see why someone would not get it. Think about it... Why spend $15+ on tickets at a movie theater packed with people and spend $8+ on popcorn and food just to watch a movie once when you can watch over 5,000 movies in your own home and get popcorn at the dollar store and a 99cent two liter of soda... WHO WOULDNT GET THAT!!!! so, I did. Plus since the first month is free you could always try out the first month and then cancel at 30 day mark! WOOOHOOO free month of movies!!! That is just amazing.

TWO DOWNFALLS-  

1. New Releases don't come out for up to 3 months after!!

2. There are not any Exercise or Work out Videos!!

I really think that they should release stuff quicker and have streaming Exercise videos and I think their fan base and customers would appreciate it more.

Smoothiei--licious night!

SMOOTHIE Time anyone?? 

Who doesn't like to think they are super healthy right? Well I sure do then i find myself thinking about the next thing I want to eat at Dunkin' Donuts, or the next food I want to grab on the way home at the golden arches. Even if I run, work out, or have tennis matches I still find myself craving those foods that are satisfying regardless of the caloric, fat or sodium intake! Tonight I was at the local grocery store in my area and found myself staring at the Frozen Pizzas and Ice cream and reached sooooo far for the handle of the freezer door and as I did I stopped. I stopped and went back to my cart and just walked away and instead found myself staring into the Frozen Bags of fruit in the Freezer Cooler section Two Aisles over! And to my surprise it sounded just as delicious as those high calorie items! So, I looked at the many different options of frozen mixed fruits, frozen strawberries, and frozen raspberries. I looked up smoothie recipes on my iPhone and realized there is absolutely no effort in making delicious, low calorie, and nutritious smoothies and even better at a low cost! 

What I got: Raspberry frozen fruit, mixed fruit, skim milk, raspberry low fat yogurt cup! Yep that is all!!

When I got home all I did was add all ingredients with ice and blend! Wooooop yep that is it! Nice! Plus, you can control how much fat, cals etc. are in it! That is the best part of it!
